Whilst many of the Allparts “Select” necks disappeared as quickly as they arrived, a few have since made a return. And one of those is the 1-Piece Rosewood Neck.
On release, they were quickly snapped up, which came as no great surprise.
The two options for Stratocaster and Telecaster were gorgeous. The dark, single-piece rosewood construction was finished with a very thin layer of polyurethane, creating a light and smooth finish that was simply stunning.
They were what can only be described as “the best of both worlds” when it came to spec. They were both vintage and modern, with the aim of being comfortable to play. They kept the classic aesthetic with the heel adjustment and vintage tuning key holes but featured a much flatter fretboard with a modern 10” radius and tall/narrow frets.
A fantastic pair of necks that were arguably the greatest success of the entire Allparts “Select” range.
It comes as no surprise that Allparts have chosen to re-release them, now with the addition of "ULTRA-MOD" options for Strat and Tele, alongside a Jazzmaster replacement version.
As with all “Select” necks, these rosewood models will be produced in extremely limited batches. But I suspect they are here to stay.
