The Cort G280 Select uses an HSS pickup configuration and is fitted with a standard 5-way selector switch, which is typical for most S-style guitars. Interestingly, this model only uses two controls (volume and tone), rather than the more common layout of one volume and two tone controls.
The exact switch model is not officially specified, but it follows metric import dimensions. The mounting screw spacing is approximately 41mm, with a cavity depth of around 30mm.
If you need a replacement, the YM-50 is a suitable option. It is a standard Fender-style 5-way switch designed for import guitars, such as those from Squier and similar instruments. The screw spacing and depth match the original specification.
And don’t worry if at first glance the switch will not fit. Our understanding is a slot has been routed in the body to accommodate the depth of this style of switches.
For wiring, refer to Cort’s official diagram to ensure correct installation.
